The Citys Police Department traces its roots to 1950, shortly after the city incorporated. Today the department has a staff of 110, including officers and support staff. Together they are responsible for the protection and safety of Folsoms 70,000 residents and many visitors. Department staff work in partnership with the community to protect lives, property and quality of life within Folsoms many neighborhoods.
