High-quality streaming and a large collection of programming is readily available, but a mediocre library of content may cause you some disappointment. Pros Fast streaming: We observed that Crackle takes approximately five seconds to load videos, and jumping along video timelines is nearly instant. The commercials typically last 15 seconds and usually occur ten times throughout one film and three times during shows, giving you plenty of uninterrupted viewing. Painless presentation: Crackle's grid layout makes finding shows very easy due to its dark color scheme and well-sized thumbnails. Banner advertisements are much smaller here than on other mobile applications. We enjoyed the uncomplicated menu, but it is crowded with links, such as "FAQ," "Privacy Policy," and "About Crackle," that could be consolidated into one section -- offering a more concise layout. Custom-made playlists: The "Recommend Watchlist" section offers 16 prepackaged playlists of movies and shows with similar themes, making navigation between programs uncomplicated and speedy. ConsSecond-rate content: Crackle delivers a mix of unrecognizable and well-known movies, and most shows are either outdated or B-rated programs. The lesser-known programs crowd Crackle's library, making it more difficult for you to find an identifiable movie or show to watch. Bottom LineCrackle - Movies and TV is quick, attractive, and voluminous for being a free application. You may dislike many of the programs offered, but there are a great deal of recognizable films and shows to keep you entertained. Perhaps including a rental or purchase option similar to that of VUDU Movies and TV would improve Crackle's attractiveness.
