Developer's DescriptionBy The Skillit Cooking CompanyWant to learn how to cook. Trying to take your cooking to the next level? Looking for recipe ideas? This is the app for you.Want to learn how to cook? Trying to take your cooking to the next level? Looking for recipe ideas? This is the app for you. Skillit is about giving you the skills to cook for yourself. Behind the app are two guys Laz and Dane who share a common desire: to cook quick, easy, inexpensive, and healthy meals to fuel our active lifestyles. We built Skillit because we believe cooking is the single best skill you can learn to improve your life youll eat healthier, save money, and always know how to impress a date (trust us, a home-cooked meal is natures most powerful aphrodisiac).Yet for how much we love to cook, we noticed a troubling trend none of our friends knew how to cook for themselves. So, we set out to change that by creating Skillit. Our goal was to build a cooking app to teach people how to cook and help them discover that perfect, mouthwatering recipe. We did this by asking a simple, yet often overlooked, question: whats in your kitchen right now that you want to cook with? Tell us what you got say, chicken, eggs, rice, and broccoli and well show what you can make. Once you decide what you want to cook, well walk you through every part of the cooking process. Need help dicing that onion? Just tap on the step and up pops a video showing you how to cut like a pro. Not sure why your chicken always turns out a little dry? Tips to elevate your cooking are just a tap away. Want to see different spice combinations to keep things fresh in the kitchen? Oh boy, do we got options for ya. At Skillit, we hate doing dishes, so we designed our reicpes to use as few dishes as possible - in fact, many of our reicpes just use one pan, trary, or skillet. Thanks for checking us out and letting us share our passion for cooking with you. We get irrationally stoked when people tell us they learned to cook through Skillit, so please reach out to us with any comments or feedback. You can find us through all of the usual channels. And if you hate us, wed love to hear from you too were always trying to improve. Happy cooking and keep on #skillingit.**12/20/2017 Dev Update** - Just fixed a server issue (had to update our DB driver) that was causing the app to crash a lot lately. Sorry about that everyone! Should work as expected now.
