Editors' ReviewDownload.com staffNovember 3, 2011Browse and manage your Android phone's files on your Wi-Fi-equipped PC with Dooblou's free WiFi File Explorer. You can download, upload, delete, copy, stream, zip, and unzip files without removing your SD card or hooking up a USB cable. You don't need to download any software on your PC or add anything to your browser, either. WiFi File Explorer 1.4.8 adds multiple file copy and download capabilities. It's for Android 1.6 and up.You don't have to enter your Wi-Fi password or security key to use WiFi File Explorer if your phone or tablet is already signed in to your Wi-Fi network. WiFi File Explorer scans your network and displays an IP address. Enter that address in your PC's browser, and WiFi File Explorer's Web-based interface displays your Android device's folders and files (including images and thumbnails) in an Explorer-style tree view. A Statistics and Actions panel displayed our phone and SD card's free and used space, or battery level, and our Wi-Fi signal strength, and we could quickly create a directory, media playlist, or slideshow from our phone's files. We also could drag and drop files or use the Upload Files tool. When we returned to our phone's file directory to locate a folder, WiFi File Explorer's link to our PC closed, but we instantly regained access by reopening the app.WiFi File Explorer lets you check a box and download folders full of snapshots from phone to PC with a single click, without hooking up any cables or taking our phone apart: how cool is that?
