(People Empowering A Change for Everyone) has developed a new Domestic Violence App that gives Crisis Line and Chat that is specifically for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Queer, and Trans/Gender-non-conforming people who might be abused or trafficked.Because queer and trans people experience violence at higher, rates as heterosexual people, it is critical to have a safe place for them to reach out for help. LGBQ and Transgender victims of intimate partner violence face unique challenges when seeking help. ACFPs TAPESTRY program provides emergency housing, legal advocacy, counseling, and other services through an all-LGBQ and Transgender staff that reflects the community, it seeks to serve.
