Editors' ReviewDownload.com staffJune 15, 2015Although we like almost everything about this miniature golf game, the stingy trial limitation steals some of its thunder. Miniverse MiniGolf puts an outer-space spin on the classic Putt Putt game, as all of its courses are located on some far-off planet. This program's graphics are top-notch, especially in terms of background scenery. For example, when playing one snowy hole, we were stunned at just how detailed the barren trees and their accompanying shadows appeared. The holes also are quite challenging, with low pars and obstacles such as conveyor belts and sand traps. The atmospheric sound effects also don't disappoint, though we chose to disable them due to the irritating beep that accompanies each shot. Other user-customization options include the ability to play with up to four other players, choose your ball color, and putt in both windowed and full-screen modes. Hitting the ball using your mouse takes some getting used to, but the learning curve isn't unreasonable. Despite all these pluses, Miniverse MiniGolf's trial version restricts you to a scant three holes, so most users will exhaust the demo quickly. However, if you plan to spend money on a mini-golf simulation game, we think you'll be pleased with what you see here.
